The story
The museum left its old home on Massachusetts Avenue and reopened at 314 Main Street in Kendall Square on 2 October 2022. That put it across the street from the MIT Welcome Center and a few steps from the Kendall/MIT stop on the Red Line, so you can come off the train and be inside in two minutes.
The holding people underrate is the holography collection. MIT holds around 1,800 holograms, the largest collection of them anywhere, and only a small selection is on show at any one time, so what you see is not what the last visitor saw.
This is a working institute's museum rather than a shrine to one. The objects are the by-products of research: robotics, artificial intelligence, and the machines that came out of the labs a few streets away.

El museo dejó su antigua sede de Massachusetts Avenue y reabrió en el 314 de Main Street, en Kendall Square, el 2 de octubre de 2022. Quedó justo enfrente del MIT Welcome Center y a unos pasos de la parada Kendall/MIT de la línea roja, así que se baja del tren y en dos minutos está dentro.
