The story
The Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience, founded in 1967, fills the East Kong Yick Building on South King Street. The building was financed by the Kong Yick Investment Company, set up in 1910 by Goon Dip with 170 Chinese immigrant investors; it housed family associations and a hotel whose rooms you can still visit on the museum's tour.
Wing Luke was the first person of colour elected to the Seattle City Council, and he died in a plane crash at 40. The museum is a Smithsonian affiliate, a National Park Service Affiliated Area, and the permanent home of the Bruce Lee Story.

El Museo Wing Luke de la Experiencia Asiática y de las Islas del Pacífico en Estados Unidos, fundado en 1967, ocupa el East Kong Yick Building en South King Street. El edificio lo financió la Kong Yick Investment Company, creada en 1910 por Goon Dip con 170 inversores inmigrantes chinos; albergó asociaciones familiares y un hotel cuyas habitaciones todavía se pueden visitar en la visita guiada del museo.
