The story
Riverside Geyser stands at the edge of the Firehole River, and when it erupts its column arches out over the water. The park calls it a good example of a cone geyser, as opposed to the fountain geysers, such as Grand, which burst from pools and are the most common kind.
It is one of the five geysers rangers predict. The park's page for it says that as of November 2015 it erupted every six hours and twenty minutes, give or take thirty minutes, for about twenty minutes, to 75 feet. Check the posted prediction before you plan to wait. In summer, yellow-bellied marmots are frequently seen in the rocks near it.
Riverside is on the paved trail that runs from the Old Faithful Inn to Morning Glory Pool, two miles round trip. The trail is shared with bicycles, which are not allowed on the boardwalks, and the park asks riders to yield to people on foot.

El géiser Riverside está a la orilla del río Firehole, y cuando entra en erupción su columna se arquea sobre el agua. El parque lo considera un buen ejemplo de géiser de cono, a diferencia de los géiseres de fuente, como Grand, que brotan de pozas y son el tipo más común.
