A château above the river
Overlooking the St. Lawrence River from Old Québec, Fairmont Le Château Frontenac grew through successive additions. The hotel opened in 1893; its central tower followed in 1924.
The château style brings together steep roofs, turrets, brick and stone. In this model, autumn trees frame the terrace while the tower rises above the surrounding wings.
