John Harvard Statue

Daniel Chester French's seated bronze of 1884 in front of University Hall, the most photographed object in Cambridge. Its inscription is famous for being wrong three times: the face is a student's, John Harvard was a benefactor not the founder, and the college dates to 1636, not 1638.
