70 Pine Street (formerly known as the 60 Wall Tower, Cities Service Building, and American International Building) is a 67-story, 952-foot (290 m) residential skyscraper in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan, New York City, New York, U.S. Designed by the architectural firm of Clinton & Russell, Holton & George in the Art Deco style, 70 Pine Street was constructed between 1930 and 1932 as an office building. The structure was originally named for the energy conglomerate Cities Service Company (later Citgo), its first tenant.
The story
The streets down here are narrow, and from the sidewalk you cannot take in the top of this tower. The building solved that in 1932. Worked into the limestone beside the entrance portals on Pine Street, and again around the corner on Cedar Street, are miniature models of the skyscraper itself. Stand close and you have all 952 feet at eye level.
It was built for the Cities Service Company, the oil firm that later became Citgo, and dedicated on May 13, 1932, into the worst year of the Depression. Inside were eight double-deck elevators, the first Otis ever installed anywhere: two cabs stacked in one shaft, one stopping at odd floors and one at even. They were taken out in 1972.
The observation deck on the 66th floor opened that July and cost fifty cents. It is not public now, because the building became apartments in 2016. The models by the door are what is left for you, and they are free.

Las calles de esta zona son estrechas y desde la acera no se alcanza a ver la parte alta de la torre. El edificio resolvió eso en 1932.
